Amazing Women in History:  Julia Child - Self-Guided Patch Program

This self-guided Girl Scout program introduces girls to the lively spirit and culinary creativity of Julia Child, the chef who brought French cooking into American homes with joy and confidence. Through food-themed activities and storytelling, girls will learn about Julia’s adventurous path, her love of learning, and her belief that anyone can grow their skills with curiosity and practice.

Girls can complete the program at their own pace as they discover how Julia’s enthusiasm made cooking feel fun and fearless. 

Participants are also invited to join an optional Zoom session on February 10th, where girls can share what they learned, talk about their favorite activities, and celebrate Julia’s message of embracing mistakes, learning boldly, and finding joy in the process.
