Lions, Tigers and Bears, oh my!  Have you ever dreamed of pitching a tent next to tigers? Having a campfire with Ankoli cattle?  Or falling asleep to the lullaby of lions?

This is a one of a kind program offered at a discount to Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, their families and friends. All family members age five and older are welcome.

What’s included?

Friday 5:30 pm begin your safari adventure:

• Arrive before dinner 
• Check in at Base Camp
• Drive your own car to Camp Adventura for parking, guided by safari staff (Parking is free for Camp Adventura)
• Tent set up, dinner and overnight orientation
• Camp Adventura Animal presentation and Meet and Greets
• Family activities & Craft Station Activities (based on the Junior Girl Scout Animal Habitats and the Cadette Girl Scout badge, Animal Helpers)
• Zip Line
• Campfire
• Safari themed movie under the stars (snack included)

Saturday Morning

• Wake Up and Pack Up
• Continental Breakfast
• Private Giraffe Encounter:  Morning Stretch Giraffe Experience (exclusive)
• Guided Safari off-road Adventure Tour on the Safari Trucks – we might even be able to watch the elephants walking in to section close to 10 am.
• Gift Shop and Goodbyes!

Free Saturday park entry is included after evaluations are complete and your Safari Patch and Girl Scout badges are distributed.

• Brownie Girl Scouts will complete and receive the Making Games badge
• Junior Girl Scouts will complete and receive the Animal Habitats badge
• Cadette Girl Scouts will complete and receive the Animal Helpers badge
• There are no refunds if a girl has already earned the badge; there are no substitutions and badges cannot be returned to the shop.

Pricing

Purchased through Six Flags Great Adventure, this program would cost $180 per person without dinner. Through the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore for this date, your discounted cost is $95 per person, including dinner.

• There are no outlets at the camp site.  If you plan on bringing an air mattress, make sure to bring a battery operated pump to inflate the mattress.
• Six Flags does not have areas for charging electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, etc

Are the safari animals out for us to see?

• Six Flags Safari Off-road Adventure is home to over 1200 animals that are housed in over 350 acres of land.  Most of the animals will be out in their sections for the entirety of the program.  During the program, the Six Flags staff will give our overnight guests a private tour of the safari where most of the animals will be on exhibit.  There also may be some surprises during the private tour!  We will also schedule opportunities for animal encounters with our education collection at Camp Adventura as well!!  Groups that remain quiet tend to see more animals.

Someone in our family has a food allergy. Are there alternate foods?

• Please note the menu will remain the same.  If your child or family member(s) have allergies you will have to bring food for that person to eat for dinner, snack and breakfast.
